I've been clearing bamboo today, which got me thinking. Does it make good charcoal?
Anyone have anything to say about it obviously it would be low yeild.

I tried it a few years back. It was below average for BP.

Re: More charcoal
Like most plants in the grass family, I believe bamboo has a fairly high concentration of silica. Not only is it likely to make poor BP but it it might also not do much good to a ball mill.
Even when I'm wrong, I'm convincing.

Thanks for your help Richard. Knew there must be a reason the Chinese don't use it.
