Re: Nice Book
Very entertaining and I like this:
Will firework making return to the United Kingdom? I think the answer is yes; one day it will. The desire and interest goes deep, and given the chance there are many to whom the challenge of building a new British-made firework brand might prove a delicious temptation.
Re: Nice Book
What a great find, thank you! It's both interesting and attractively written, with many pictures that evoke childhood memories from what now seem like happier days!
However, being a professional writer and proof-reader, it would be remiss of me to not point out at least one error! On page 27, the author has incorrectly stated the proportions of ingredients for black powder.

Re: Nice Book
Oops, so he has!
As someone else with a long history of proofreading, I could point out one or two other places where a tweak would be appropriate, but that would be churlish.
I've only just started reading, but I'm enjoying it enormously. He does a good job of capturing the fascination of working with fireworks.

Even when I'm wrong, I'm convincing.

Re: Nice Book
Dave, the original file that was in that link seems to have disappeared at some point in the last 4 years. Unfortunately, I can't remember what it was. I probably downloaded it, so I'll see if I can locate my copy.
In answer to Yus, I do!
