Are you absolutely sure that Buddhists don't have an equivalent of the fatwa? :-D
As an aside, that puts me a bit in mind of that dodgy fillum, something to do with centipedes? They probably deserve their impending fate!!

Well I must say whoever carved that had rather a bizarre take on the subject! Looks like you may have Albesia wood, and if you have take it easy on the lift powder it makes the fastest BP.

Four of them are now charcoal have not done any testing yet will post result as soon as.

Well that shows promise given that it was milled for 3hrs,Starfire dose the powder look grey?

Also did you cook the charcoal in a retort or TLUD, also (more questions) what Kno3 did you use or should I say where did you buy it from cheers Ken.

It's more on the black side, it was cooked in a retort, the saltpetre was from OB.

Ah the salt was the OB stuff I take it that was bargain tub verity? If so try drying it as it does contain a lot of moisture.

The fact that it is still nice and black would indicate you have a good charcoal there and there is a good chance this is Albesia wood and that is awesome stuff.
