That appears to be a very neat bit of kit.
Even when I'm wrong, I'm convincing.

It was a bespoke item, however I have made new tooling for the 10mm tubes I stock, the rammer has 10mm increments assuming your BP is on the money that is, back drilling is an option.

Ken,
I have to say this: "Back drilling" is the ONLY option, regardless of the accuracy of your tooling.

NO spolette will work properly without absolutely-precise length determination between the take-fire face and the give-fire hole. AND there must be a hole in which to embed black match, or there could be (even slight) delay between the burn-out of the powder and transfer to the load on the give-fire end. In the worst of cases, a 'plain end' won't reliably pass fire to the load.

With a hole and embedded match in the hole, the pass-fire function is completely ensured.

You "gotta have a hole", no matter how precisely you press them. So, press them over-length by at least 6mm, and back-drill to the desired column length.

And, don't forget to 'cross-scratch' the take-fire end before wrapping in black match, in order to ensure fire-transfer. Pressing can put a 'glaze' on BP that can inhibit fire transfer. Scratching the end ensures that glaze is penetrated.

Lovely bit of kit Ken, thanks again.
Totally agree with pressing match in.

Thanks, Paul your welcome.

That new Visco is in its paper-wrapped then spun with a nitro coat good tuff fuse but only got it in 2.5mm.
