Hi peeps,
Please could someone tell me how bentonite clay plugs are put in both ends of a tube? I know how one end is done but it's the other end once the composition has been added as I'm guessing it can't be done by ramming it in like the first one is done as it would go up in your face.
Any help will be much appreciated.

Add, what are you building would help a lot in answering the question?
So long as you composition isn't impact sensitive or doesn't contain sparking metals like Ti ramming is doable. Many people press comps as it is a lot safer than hand ramming live comps. With more details more detailed answers can be given.
Think like pressing stars in a star plate. With caution pressing can be somewhat safe. There is always a certain degree of hazard in this art. We accept that and try to stay within our own comfort zones. Remembering very little we do is 100 percent safe helps make us safer in our practices.

As Brad says they'd be mostly pressed. There was a video of an Italian company making Bombettes I posted somewhere on here and the entire series shows it really well.
