I have to agree. Tom Rebenklau makes rockets that most people can only dream of. I continue to be amazed at both the imagination and the precision that he puts into them.
Even when I'm wrong, I'm convincing.

There's a guy who goes by the name of Viking - you can google his youtube videos : Viking Pyrotechnics who emulates TRs rockets and he has become truly a master in his own right - watch his videos !

Thanks for your suggestion guys I have had a browse through the suggestions
Those rockets are well out of my league give me a few years and I might get near to that size rocket
I did find some interesting bits on the sky lighter website
From the looking around I have done on Google what I think I am looking for is how to make bag shell headings for small rockets

Tho I may well just have to bite the bullet and buy some hemispheres from Ken

Get some effect fuse and cut at an angle in to 3/4inch lengths,
Make a tube on top of rocket motor with masking tape,
Put in half a teaspoon lose bp fill with fuse and close top
with some more tape, And you've got a quick easy header,
You can dip bottom end of fuse in nc and bp for better ignition.

Have a look at:
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=165&hilit=How+to+make+an+insert

You might find some inspiration there. I have had a lot of fun with variations on the theme.
