Japanese paper help

Post by Locky Smith »

Can anybody help with the name of the paper that the Japanese use to close their shells please. A friend in Malta has asked, somebody suggested kozo?
Thanks all

I've just looked that up in Shimizu's FAST. Of the Japanese papers he describes, kozo is the most likely. He doesn't explicitly say that it is used for closing shells, but comments that it is strong - and that it will, in time, be replaced by Kraft, which is not so expensive.

I hope that helps.
Even when I'm wrong, I'm convincing.
