hi folks

i was having a poke around on the skylighter website looking a diffrent methods of making
stars
my question is

in ned g video he uses denatured alchol i have not seen that in the uk is it basicly methylated spirit ??

if so is there any benefit to using that rather than IPA?

I believe it is meths,possibly without the dye we have in it. IPA is imho better.

Denatured alcohol meets a US government formula that is less palatable to drink than the British methylated spirits. The key here is to use an alcohol low in water and in the US isopropanol 99 is much less common than isopropanol 70% or 91% both of which are sold at pharmacies.
