Could be that the smps is delivering rapid pulses of full power to the motor. This was an issue with model railways. The locomotive motors ran hot with pulse width modulation supplies and cooler with full-wave rectified supplies where the only control for speed was a potentiometer.

If there is a chance of skin contact, apply a barrier cream to any exposed skin first. I used this stuff in fifteen kilo lots in the bad old days with acetic acid. No matter how careful we were, there was always a small chance of exposure. We used it to oxidize sulphur black and navy dyes. If the dyes...

Your first increment seems too much. I make 1lb rockets with 4.5gram increments and a tube support for pressing. I use mineral oil as a phlegmatizer at 3% of black powder.

Re: New hydraulic press 6 tons with manometer

Well you won't be able to apply too much pressure to cause an issue the way you are using the press. The tubes themselves will burst or buckle before too much force is applied. You MUST SUPPORT THE TUBES with, for example,a clamshell tube support. The tubes need to be held by a strong support to with...

Previous composition can cause issues. Treat the crossette gently while removing It and do not apply anny rotational force ( don'...
