Re: Where to buy sieves / screens in the UK?
I like my test sieves. I have a slew of 8” and some 12”. The 8’s fit a sieve shaker I purchased. Yeah, it’s cheating a little, but I did loan it out with one set of sieves so I’m more normal again. A tip I found handy the 12” pan is pretty sweet for hand rolling stars as well. I purchased two fairly...

Re: Air Float charcoal in the USA
Ken, to do it beyond just to tinker it will have to be profitable. Unless another business model takes of I won’t be able to do it just for the fun of it. I was looking to go decent sized. I was looking into a cooker design of 500 to a 1000 gallons. Since the cooker would be an old tank. I don’t hav...

Re: Air Float charcoal in the USA
I knew about one of the airfloat suppliers exiting the market back in Dec. I was in discussions with a US hobby vendor here to take up the slack in his inventory. Competition moved into the hotter charcoal market and finances from slowing work put the brakes on that for a while it seems. I needed bo...

Funny story a few years back I walked out the front door one day and something was off. Then I spotted a decent sized snake sunning in a privet at the front of the porch. While I’m not afraid of snakes all that much this house is only big enough for one of us. I had an air soft rifle handy. One pop ...

I was kind of wondering when I watched the video why a pre tinned blank couldn’t be used. Then a block slid into a jig that creased the wire over each head and basically spot weld the nichrome wire. The resistance tests seemed a little high compared to our US matches I think?
As fast as they were testing it was difficult to tell how much variance there was between matches. The one real clear shot of the finished match showed 2.315.

In my own personal opinion which aligns with Lloyd’s a little. I think there is a lot of milling action happening by attrition ( hope that’s a near correct word ) as well especially with charcoal.
